Site opens at 5 PM on Friday May 11, and closes at 12 Noon on Sunday May 13.

Troll is open from 5-10pm on Friday, and will open at 8am on Saturday.

PSA: This site is seldom used for camping and ticks will be a problem. Please come prepared.

Please bring your items to Mugmort Melees. We encourage at least minimal documentation (time period, who it would have been used by, and how it was made)
and encourage the entrants to sit with their items during the day. Good luck to all of the entrants!

Youth 5 and under are FREE!
$34 Family maximum ($24 for Member families)
Camping Fee: $10 per person (under 17 camps FREE!)

Saturday Morning - Pancake breakfast with coffee being served for donations.

Camping & Site Rules

• Site is DRY!
• Camping in designated areas only. • Plenty of space available.
• Above ground fire pits only, see staff for details.
• Communal Fire Pit will be lit each night.
• Park in designated areas only (weather dependent).
• Park closes gate at 10pm to 7am. Autocrat has gate code for emergencies.
• There is potable water on site, but there is only one water spigot.
• Two chemical toilets on site, no showers. • Bring your own shade and chairs. • There is NO inside space, there will be tents for classes.
• There are some trees on the site and all grassy areas have been maintained.
• There is a split rail fence around the Heavy combat area.
• All activities are close together, and approximate walking time from equestrian area to archery range is 3 minutes.

Making Lenten Almond Milk Butter

Instructor: Cassandra Martel
Class Times: Saturday - 10:00am
Class Length: 1 hour

Class Description: A demonstration of the making of butter for lent from almond milk using a 14th century reipe.
No supplies needed. There will be a short informational handout and samples provided.

Introduction to Calligraphy and Illumination

Instructor: Lady Avelyn atte Wode
Class Times: Saturday - 11:00am
Class Length: 1 hour
Class fee: None
Class Description: This is a basic "how-to" class covering what new scrives need to know to get started doing calligraphy and illumination for award scrolls. There will be discussion regarding supplies, scribal resources, and scroll layout. A demonstration of calligraphy and illumination techniques will also take place.
No supplies needed. Although participants are welcome to bring their own scribal gear if they would like to follow along with the demonstration.

Rings on Her Fingers: Making Medieval Wire Rings

Instructor: Dame Elizabethe Alles
Class Times: Saturday - 1:00pm
Class Length: 1 hour
Class fee: $1 (for materials and handout)
Class Description: Learn to make simple medieval jewelry with supplies and tools you can get at your local craft store.
Participants must be able to safely use wirecutters.
Supply fee covers the handout and wire. the instructor will provide a limited number of tools.
Participants who would like to bring their own tools should bring a ring mandrel, needlenose pliers, and flushcutters.

Patterning and Making 14th-Century Padded Armor

Instructor: THL Sarai Tindall Sogliano
Class Times: Saturday - 2:00pm
Class Length: 1 hour

Class Description: Overview of types of padded armor seen in imagery; how to create and adapt it for SCA combat.
Class will include examples of different types of padded armour and a how-to description on patterning and making your own padded armour.
No supplies needed. There will be a short informational handout provided.
